“Sending your son to Iraq is harder than making a movie.” – Denzel Washington
Ever wonder what it’s like to go through life pretending to be someone else? Being paid millions to play dress up and memorize lines? Looking down on those who shell out hard earned income to see pictures of the pretenders – because the bubble of privilege in which they live somehow makes them believe they’re much, much smarter than anyone else in the world?
Ahhhh, the life of some actors.
But then, there are others.

My husband is the biggest fan of actors like Denzel Washington, Terry Crews, Clint Eastwood, and Dean Cain. Other artists, too, who appreciate opportunities to be rewarded for work ethic and talent, and who motivate and respect their fans. The actors who keep it in perspective.

I agree with Todd on all that, but can admit I admire the aforementioned actors also for being the hot Alpha Males that they are.
I hope artists who exude a special mix of confidence and humbleness baked into their talent and manifested self-discipline know how much they are appreciated. Their status in pop culture affords them great influence, as everything is downstream from pop culture, including politics, so their gift of influence is enormously significant in the world.

Here’s a taste of sweet decency within one such actor, and here’s hoping guys like this earn the rewards and awards they deserve:
I’m curious, who’s your favorite pop culture icon, on or off screen?
