President Trump imposed sanctions on Iran this week which the country promptly defied by testing missile and radar systems, per Fox News.
The purpose for the exercises were to “showcase the power of Iran’s revolution and dismiss the sanctions,” apparently.
Check it out:
During the exercise, a senior commander of Iran’s Revolution Guard said the country’s missiles will come down on the country’s enemies if they do wrong.
“If the enemy does not walk the line, our missiles come down on them,” Gen. Amir Ali Haijazadeh said.
Iranian state news agencies reported the military excercise would test home-made missile systems, radars, command and control centers and cyber warfare systems.
Well this can’t be good.
The Trump Administration imposed sanctions on Iran earlier this week after a ballistic missile test occurred out of Tehran—a blatantly act of defiance by the Iranian government.
Trump and Secretary of Defense General James Mattis also ordered the U.S.S. Cole to post off the coast of Yemen, which was seen as a direct result of Iran’s actions as well.
“The days of turning a blind eye to Iran’s hostile and belligerent actions toward the United States and the world community are over,” White House national security adviser Michael Flynn said.
