Cuban Jersey Crisis: NBA Can’t Get Over Trump’s Win

Much of the media tell us that Cuban relations are improving. If you’re talking about Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban however, you can say with certainty that this is without a doubt fake news. Cuban stands 6’3″, but for some reason he has a little man complex when it comes to President Trump.

At this past weekend’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game Cuban donned a number 46 jersey. Get it? Donald Trump is the 45th president. The next commander-in-chief will be #46. So, Cuban apparently thinks he may be Mr. Trump’s successor. Let’s just say the chances of the lowly Mavs winning the NBA championship are better than Cuban ever being the prez.

During the 2016 campaign, Cuban was all over the place. At one point saying he may possibly support Trump or Hillary Clinton, even though the two candidates were about as different as big band and dubstep. Cuban finally endorsed Clinton and took snarky shot after snarky shot at Trump. It helped Trump win.

Now comes the 46 jersey, an apparent shot at the man in the White House. Cuban’s new duds follow a tweet from President Trump in which Trump said Cuban is “not smart enough to run for president.”

Smart isn’t a requirement. You have to be 35, a resident within the U.S. for 14 years, and a natural born Citizen. Three checks for Cuban. He also has the money to run. After that though, the outlook is worse than the Mavericks team rebounding.

Cuban may think he’s the liberal answer to Trump but he simply is not. Trump is the ultimate alpha male. Cuban resembles an older Romanian woman feeding pigeons on a park bench. Cuban would never get the nomination, let alone capture the presidency. The wealthy Shark Tank investor is not as well known as President Trump. Outside of the NBA and reality TV audiences, people would have to be introduced to Cuban. No one like that could ever upset a man like Trump.

President Trump’s name recognition and ability to get free advertising from the press proved to be priceless during his bid for the presidency. While just as slimy and underhanded as many top Democrats, Cuban is actually not liberal enough for today’s Democrat party. He’d never get the nomination over a far-left progressive like an Elizabeth Warren. Trump also won thanks to independents. While Cuban isn’t European enough for Dems, he is far too liberal for Indys. He’s truly the monkey in the middle.

At the NBA All-Star Weekend, Cuba told media members that he indeed was looking for some attention. He wanted to “tweak the s— out of everybody” and “f— with everybody, because that’s what I do.” This is clearly a guy who wants to be like Trump but can’t. It would be sad if he were more likable. Since he’s unsavory to most, it’s just pathetic.

For the celeb game, Cuban was held scoreless. How appropriate. He’d fit right in with his NBA team. The Mavericks are a rotten 22-34 with no hope in sight.

Earlier this month President Trump posted a tweet about Cuban that read: “I know Mark Cuban well. He backed me big-time, but I wasn’t interested in taking all of his calls. He’s not smart enough to run for president!”

It was a classic Trump punch back. Cuban has gone after the president again and again. Among his digs, Cuban tweeted Trump has “No management skills, doesn’t read, doesn’t use tech and makes no effort to learn, only consumes analog media.” Sounds like a jealous man. What Trump does have is the backing and love of hard working Americans from coast to coast.

Cuban’s barbs at our president shows you can be very successful financially yet still be an Internet tough guy on the side. His keyboard antics are old and tired. They’re unappealing just like the man himself –the man who will never be president.

Cuban isn’t the only NBAer critical of President Trump. San Antonio Spurs coach Greg Popovich, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, and Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy have all taken their pot shots of late. Each one filled with false narratives and classic liberal talking points. Thankfully none of these three are threatening to run for office any time soon. They’ll keep pontificating in what’s quickly becoming the No Brains Association. It’s easy to criticize the man who’s building a strong defense to combat ISIS when your biggest worry in life is installing a strong ISO defense.

President Trump has an incredible following. He is giving so many people hope. Many like Cuban appear to be envious of this and their actions indicate they will stop at nothing for just a little limelight. They want so bad to be on Trump’s level. But it’s not in the cards and they can’t stand it.

The Dallas Mavericks went from NBA champs in 2011 to one of the worst teams in basketball in 2017. Cuban should spend his time worrying about actual on court matters instead of trying to stroke his own ego. It’s time to try to make the Mavs great again. While he’s at it, he should definitely 86 the 46. It really makes him look silly. Then again, if the jersey fits…

Mark Cuban will have to take a back seat to Obama and Hillary, as both of those fools will run again in the next presidential election… and they will all lose to Donald Trump.
