Liberal Actress Jennifer Garner SHOCKS Democrats, Calls On Ivanka Trump To Promote Early Childhood Education

An “unlikely ally” for President Trump has just stepped out in Washington—actress Jennifer Garner.

The well-known activist spent this week meeting with members of Congress, and even called on Ivanka—however, a meeting did not take place.

Garner is a long-time advocate for early childhood education, and while she supported Hillary Clinton prior to the election, has recognized Trump’s popularity amongst low-income rural communities as an opportunity.

Check it out (via Red Alert Politics):

Her outreach to a Republican administration is unprecedented; she has been an active supporter of Democratic candidates since at least 2008. Garner and then-husband Ben Affleck hosted a fundraiser for Barack Obama’s first campaign. She also gave a speech on his behalf at another fundraiser…

Trump has been either railed against or ignored by nearly everyone in Hollywood, save for Scott Baio and Dog the Bounty Hunter. Garner is breaking the mold. She sees past partisanship and has her sights set on a potential partnership: “Send me a ticket to Mar-a-Lago. I’m ready to go down and have a steak and a good chat.”

Garner’s example is one not only Hollywood, but liberals in general would be smart to follow.

While she’s not yet met with a member of the Trump family herself—efforts to sit down with Ivanka this week, for whatever reason, fell apart—she’s bound to eventually get her meeting.

This goes to show that if you want to get anything done in Washington, you’ve got to start by showing up.
