Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
Israel, special to God, is also special to the United States.
In 2011, Todd and I had the honor of visiting Israel and enjoying a private dinner with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, on Purim no less! What a rare privilege for us, private citizens, to sit down with not only a head of state, but a hero so protective of this country that we’d all do well to learn from him and absorb his strength.
That evening, we talked about how Mordechai sent his courageous Jewish cousin Esther to risk her life by approaching the king and asking for protection for her people.
With Israel’s neighbors vowing to wipe her off the map, she looks to the United States to stand alongside her. We must elect leaders who will honor our partnership with Israel, as God said He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her (Gen. 12:3).
