From reading, ‘riting, and ‘rithmetic to reading, ‘riting, and ‘is that Rita or Rick?’. That’s the situation right now at a public school in Pennsylvania. Students are being forced to change in locker rooms with the opposite sex. Unfortunately for the ultra-liberal school district that’s pushing this outrageous agenda, a group of strong women are fighting back. The Berks Republican Women have issued a call to action in order to protect the privacy of children and keep them safe.
Independence Law Center and Alliance Defending Freedom filed a law suit on Tuesday March 21 to the Boyertown Area School District defending the right to privacy, modesty and respect of ‘Joel Doe.’ This after the Boyertown Area School District, located just outside of Reading, PA, without parent or student notification, made an unwritten change to school policy and opened its sex-specific locker rooms to students of the opposite sex. When a brave student complained to school officials after he was undressing in a locker room and saw another student of the opposite sex undressing next to him, he was told to ‘tolerate’ undressing with a student of the opposite sex and to make it as ‘natural’ as possible.
Berks Republican Women President, Carla D’Addesi is spearheading a call to action. “We have members whose children attend BASD,” D’Addesi said. “This directly affects our families. However, this is a bipartisan issue and we are defending the right to privacy, modesty and respect for all students in Pennsylvania.”
D’Addesi expands on her comments and offers an in-depth look into this culture war in an exclusive interview on The Palin Update radio program on Mama Grizzly Radio.
This is the first law suit of its kind in Pennsylvania. “Students should not be forced to change in front of the opposite sex in locker rooms and bathrooms,” said D’Addesi. “We all have a right to privacy.”
Berks Republican Women are asking concerned citizens to email or mail school officials and stand up for children. Hundreds have already done just that.
The GOP group is asking people to email/mail the message below:
Please correct your administration’s actions and return BASD locker rooms to sex-specific. Please protect the privacy of all your students. Thank you for your service.
School Board Members may be contacted in multiple ways:
Letters may be mailed to the Boyertown Area School District Education Center, 911 Montgomery Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512
BASD has until April 4th to respond to the law suit. “The next week is vital that our voice must be heard to maintain sex-specific bathrooms,” D’Addesi said. “Criteria for use must be based on biological sex not feelings.”
So far, Boyertown School Board is sticking with the unpopular transgender policy even after a large crowd turned out for a school board meeting to consider the plaintiff’s demand letter seeking change in its locker room and bathroom policy. The vote was 6-3 in favor of genderless bathrooms, locker rooms, and athletic teams. A suit will be filed at the federal level to protect the privacy rights of ‘Joel Doe’.
“It’s a sad moment when BASD goes genderless,” D’Addesi said. “Genderless bathrooms, locker rooms and athletic teams are wrong. In 2016 in Alaska, a boy identifying as a girl ran on the all girls track team and ‘won’ third place in the States. In reality this biological boy who feels like a girl stole third place from biological girls who were competing fairly. Testosterone in biological male bodies, no matter with what you identify, gives these men a huge advantage when competing on all girls athletic teams.”
Now what happened in Alaska is beginning to unfold in Pennsylvania. “This will happen at BASD now with their genderless policy being confirmed,” D’Addesi said. “It is a war on women. A sex-specific policy should have been kept at BASD as this is commonsense and not extreme thinking. Berks Republican Women will continue to speak lovingly but firmly that we support sex-specific bathrooms, locker rooms and athletic teams in all our Pennsylvania schools, but especially in Berks where our student privacy is under direct attack. Prayers for the courageous family and student who are fighting to protect their God given right to privacy, respect, and modesty.”
D’Addesi fears if this extreme agenda is allowed to continue, things will only get worse. “When can we expect genderless pronouns to be taught to our five year olds who should be studying reading and writing at BASD?”
Berks Republican Women is vowing to continue to email letters asking BASD to return to a policy that is sex specific. “Republican Women need to take the lead on the student right to privacy in our schools,” said D’Addesi. “Whether we, Republican women, are CEOs of households or billion dollar companies, we govern with truth, logic and facts verses untruths, absence of logic, and feelings. Sadly, the genderless policy is being made from the latter.”
