Two coptic churches in Egypt were bombed as Christians celebrated Palm Sunday services, per Weasel Zippers.
One explosion occurred at St. Mark’s in Alexandria, and the other took place in Tanta at St. George’s.
At least 41 people have been killed as a result of the blasts, with more than 100 injuries.

A police officer outside the Alexandria Church hugged the suicide bomber just before the blast to protect civilians and minimize the explosion.
Coptic Pope Tawadros II was present at the Alexandria location and left just before the blast to tend to St. George’s in Tanta after hearing of the explosions that occurred there prior.
