FINALLY! NYT Reporter Posts Misleading Tweet On Trump, Instantly Forced To…

During a press-covered signing of an executive order yesterday, President Donald Trump jokingly commented how the official title was too long to read.

White House Correspondent for the New York Times Peter Baker tweeted out the quote with no context, which led many to believe that Trump did not bother reading the executive order he was signing.

Per Free Beacon:

Peter Baker tweeted that Trump said during the signing of an executive order to create an agriculture task force, “There’s a lot of words. I won’t bother reading everything.”

But Baker’s tweet took Trump out of context. Trump actually read off the long title of the executive order at the press conference, and then joked that he wasn’t going to read the entire thing out loud.


As the story was picked up by several news outlets, Baker later deleted the tweet and explained his intention:
