After eight long years of enduring an administration that often belittled and disrespected police officers, it is reassuring to know President Trump regularly honors our brave members of law enforcement. With a pro-police feeling finally permeating out of the White House once again, this year’s Police Week should be all the more special.
Back in 1962, President Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Every year, thousands of law enforcement officers and their supporters visit Washington, D.C. to honor those who have died in the line of duty.
This year, National Police Week officially runs from May 15 through May 21, however several big events are already taking place across the country. Others are honoring our men and women in blue in different ways.
Dave Bray is using his musical talent to show his love and support for our amazing officers. Bray, a Navy (FMF) veteran and patriotic rocker has released a powerful song called “Last Call”. The song and its accompanying video serve as a heartfelt tribute to our fallen heroes and their loved ones.
Bray will be performing “Last Call” in Washington, D.C. during police week this month. Check out this emotional tribute to our fallen law enforcement officers and their families in the video below.
