Georgio and Kristan Rodriguez, like many couples, spent years dreaming of bringing a child into their family.
The two had been foster parents seven times, but were hopeful that one day they’d conceive and give birth to a child of their own.
But when the Rodriguez’s finally became pregnant, it ended in a stillbirth that nearly claimed Kristan’s life.
And now, on the first birthday of their son—whom they named Royal—they are celebrating with the release of their book, “The Rough Road To Royalty,” in which they share their challenging journey.

“There are thousands of couples facing the same struggles that we did, and our hope is that this book will encourage and reassure them that they are not alone in this journey.” –Kristan Rodriguez
Statistics show that more than 17 percent of pregnancies annually end in miscarriages.
And 24,000 American babies are stillborn every year.
The Rodriguez’s have written this book in the hopes that they’ll reach some of these people and help them in their journey, by sharing what they’ve learned and all that they’ve overcome.
The family now resides in Orlando, FL.
