Following Kathy Griffin’s bloody photo shoot, CNN, the news outlet in which Griffin sometimes stars as a host, just spoke out against Griffin.
They said “what she did [was] digusting and offensive,” but declined to comment if Griffin would still be tapped to host the New Year’s Eve celebration ceremony for the network.
Bizpac Review says CNN is still deciding if Kathy Griffin will be reprimanded:
CNN released a statement announcing it’s “evaluating” its New Years Eve coverage. Griffin has been the chosen star of the annual ball drop on the network for the past few years.
“We found what she did disgusting and offensive,” a CNN spokesperson said. “We are pleased to see she has apologized and asked that the photos be taken down. We are evaluating our New Year’s Eve coverage and have made no decisions at this point.”
Bizpac Review also shares how Griffin’s co-host for the New Year’s Eve ceremony, Anderson Cooper, hated the photo:
For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.

Several of Griffin’s colleagues have spoken out against the photo, which may influence CNN to make a decision for the New Year’s Eve position.
