Megyn Kelly’s Controversial Interview With Alex Jones Saw A Major Dip In Ratings

Despite a controversial preview interview with Vladimir Putin, followed by an arguably more controversial interview with Alex Jones of InfoWars, Megyn Kelly’s ratings at NBC continue to dip.

The duo seemed to dominate headlines last week as a result of outrage at Alex Jones’ appearance on the show, but it seems the widespread publicity garnered very little viewership.

Nielsen numbers show that 3.5million viewers tuned in to ‘Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly,’ which scored a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49 in its third week.

Those numbers put the show behind the final round of the US Open on Fox and a repeats of ’60 Minutes’ on CBS.

The show’s ratings were also behind a rerun of ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’. Ouch.

Kelly’s numbers represented a slight decrease from her second episode with sportscaster Erin Andrews, which drew in 3.61million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the all-important demo.

They are also well below the numbers Kelly got when she interviewed Russian president Vladimir Putin for her premiere episode, which had 6.1 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.

Kelly has been widely scrutinized by viewers of her former segment on Fox News after her months-long feud with Trump, then a candidate for president.
