SWEET FREEDOM DAILY DEVOTIONAL: The Gospel And Racial Reconciliation

For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile – the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:12-13

One of the great things about Christianity is that it reminds us that everyone – rich or poor, black or white – is created in God’s image. We are all children of God.

As an American, I am proud of the great racial progress our country has made in ensuring equal rights for all, regardless of race.

But I have to tell you – I’m appalled by the way liberals still try to divide this country. They deny that ethnic minorities can be conservative – and in fact shamelessly attack everyone from Clarence Thomas to Michelle Malkin on ethnic grounds just because they’re conservative. It’s shameful the way some liberals exploit issues involving law enforcement to pit some communities against the police.

Our country can be united. Our faith can help us live out the truth that we are all created in God’s image. Let us do so and give all the glory to God.

Today, remember that every believer is an equal heir to the kingdom of God, and think about ways you can spread this biblical truth throughout the land.
