Thousands of Americans are Sending a Powerful Message to the NFL on Veterans Day Weekend — Will You Join Them?

The NFL has already suffered a big loss in the pocketbook because of the players kneeling in protest during the national anthem. Fans have been turning off football and not buying tickets, as dropping ratings and attendance numbers have shown.

And the NFL’s response to the problem hasn’t been good. Rather than effectively dealing with it, Commissioner Roger Goodell has gone back and forth, trying to placate the players, while ticking off the owners who are trying to find a resolution. Goodell may have vacillated so much that it’s put his own job in jeopardy as the word is that some owners like Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys are working for his ouster.

The NFL hasn’t told the players to stop the protests and stop disrespecting the flag and the anthem.

And now with Veterans Day on Saturday and people very focused on veterans this weekend, a group of Facebookers has resolved to send the NFL a message for their failure to address the problem.

A very large group.

From Conservative Tribune:

Saturday is the true Veterans Day, Nov. 11, but according to Fox News, a group of over 200,000 Facebook users have joined Boycott the NFL and have vowed to boycott the league on Sunday thanks to the ongoing national anthem protests.

“Until millionaire football players stop protesting the National Anthem of the United States, we’ll be here,” the group’s Facebook “About” page reads.

“We love football, but we love our flag more.”

Over 222,000 people were members as of Saturday morning, and each of them were pledging to boycott the NFL’s games this weekend as a Veterans Day protest.

The protests were started by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick who now is cooling his heels without a job. He specifically stated at the time that he was kneeling so as not to honor the flag, the anthem or the United States, which he viewed as oppressive.

A second round of protests started this year after President Donald Trump said that the “sons of b******” who disrespected the anthem should be fired.

Veterans are among the members of the group. They’re ticked and they’re letting the NFL know.

“Even though I’ve been a die-hard fan my whole life I stopped cold turkey last season after the NFL refused to step in and deal with the kneeling during the National Anthem. As long as you kneel I will not support the NFL in any way – and in actuality not so sure I will ever return since the league’s arrogance seems to have no bounds.”

“My husband and I live in Las Vegas and ‘we were’ huge football fans and not only are we not watching any NFL football games we also are not betting on them,” another fan wrote.

“Politics of any kind do not belong on the football field and to protest during our National Anthem is absolutely shameful.”

The NFL can ill afford any more of this as their ratings continue to drop.

On Monday, the “Monday Night Football” game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions was the lowest-rated Week Nine Monday night game in a decade.

This action this weekend will add another big hole in the pocket of the NFL.

Will they finally get the message?
