This past weekend, the overwhelming majority of NFL players stood for the national anthem for the first time in a long time.
This happened because the NFL Players Association passed a resolution determined to honor veterans for Veterans Day.
Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman did something special after the game all on his own.
Check this out…
From Daily Wire:
A Washington Redskins football player gave signed game gear to the commandant of the Marine Corps on Sunday during the team’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

From Smoke Room, regarding Norman’s cleats:
They appear to be the same cleats he wore last week, and they have a military theme for “all whom served beneath the Stars.”

All players stood for the national anthem with the exception of three men.
From Fox 40:
Three players took a knee during the national anthem before the New York Giants game at the San Francisco 49ers, as the rest of the league stood during Veterans Day weekend.
49ers Eric Reid and Marquise Goodwin, both of whom have been protesting for most of the season, knelt, as did Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon , who was just activated. Vernon had been protesting while he was injured.

Nearly every national anthem kneeler has stated that they are not trying to disrespect the military with their protests.
Maybe after seeing their actions this past weekend the American people can now believe them.
Why players kneel (and will continue to kneel) is more than likely due to President Trump’s SOB comment made not long ago.
From Fox News Insider:
President Trump railed against National Football League players who have knelt during the national anthem.
Trump said that he and Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.), who he was stumping for in Huntsville, are “unified” by “great American values.”
He said players who disrespect the flag and kneel for the national anthem should be ejected from the stadium and cut from the team.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say ‘get that son of a b**** off the field right now – he’s fired,'” Trump said.
More, via New York Daily News:
A New Jersey bar commemorated Veterans Day over the weekend by boycotting the NFL.
Woody’s Roadside Tavern in Farmingdale tuned out football after a Vietnam veteran and regular customer expressed to the owners that he felt disrespected by players who have protested police brutality and racial injustice by kneeling during the national anthem.
“While it’ll probably costs us some money, we thought it was more important to stand with our veterans and send a message, however big or small it might turn out to be,” co-owner Rob Johnson told NJ.com.
Hopefully soon players will stop the nonsense.Note: The author of this article has included commentary that expresses an opinion and analysis of the facts.
