The integrity of the Hollywood culture has taken a huge hit following hundreds of allegations coming forward against Harvey Weinstein and James Toback.
According to Daily Mail, the latter of the two “has been accused of sexual impropriety by 310 women but denies any wrong-doing.”
Toback’s latest accuser, American actress Becky Wahlstrom, said the director assaulted her in 1998:
Becky Wahlstrom, who was a student at London’s Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, said she fought off Toback’s unwanted advances, knocking over a glass table and trashing his hotel room in her desperation to escape.
But she said that she was driven to speak out now, in the wake of the revelations about Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, after Toback denied any impropriety with any other women.
Wahlstrom said she documented what happened, immediately following the incident, in her diary, which she revealed via a Facebook post:
She was so incensed by his behaviour that she scoured her journals to find the diary entry from August 1998 about her audition for the crime drama, starring Robert Downey Jr, Jared Leto, Ben Stiller, Claudia Schiffer and Brooke Shields.
‘In solidarity with the women who bravely came forward and to bolster their claims,’ she wrote, ‘I’m attaching excerpts from my journal entry written one day after my meeting with JT Aug. 13, 1998. It’s all in there.’
Afterwards she told Mail Online: ‘I was motivated to post actual pictures of my journal only because Toback was denying everything, saying these women were just hearing what other women were claiming and parroting them.
‘The journal was written the day after I met him before social media ever existed. It matches so many details these other women have described.

‘While I of course WAS a victim of this man’s abuse of power, I left that Black and White audition with my integrity and felt strong. Scared, but strong.’
