Amid allegations of sexually harassing, sexually assaulting and stalking, some people are still coming to the defense of Democrat Senator Al Franken.
Hillary Clinton defended her “friend” while Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Democrat should face an investigation by the Senate Ethics Committee; several others are calling for Franken’s resignation.
CNN political reporter Dan Merica tweeted out a statement from seven women who worked for Franken, who jointly say they were treated “with the utmost respect”:
A group of seven former female staffers for Sen. Al Franken issued the below statement arguing that the now embattled senator “treated us with the utmost respect” when they worked together. pic.twitter.com/MhvpzUY3Sw

Some people took the tweet as a defense of the Senator and quickly criticized it:
unfortunately that doesn't erase the two ppl he harassed and terrified

What matters are the women he didnt treat with respect. Anyone can play that game.

Need to add “While they were awake”

Wow I'm so glad he didn't rape those women. You're good now Al, those women said so.

Those women didn’t pose in playboy so they didn’t ask for it I guess

Why? It doesn’t take away what he did. That picture isn’t going away.

To those staffers: One victim outweighs seven well-treated people. I can't help that your delusions about Al Franken were ruined.

Why is a CNN reporter running such blatant damage control for a Democrat?
— OxoBorax-WhyHasTw1tterMadeEverythingVerbose?ItSux! (@MrHuman334) November 17, 2017
Leave it up to CNN to protect someone who gropes a women WITHOUT her knowledge having photo proof AND Franken ADMITS to it as well, no wonder your ratings stay in the toilet.

So it’s news worthy that Al Franken treated people like they are supposed to be treated?
