There has been an explosion in a London subway station, injuring 18 people.
The explosion was reportedly caused by a homemade IED, or improvised explosive device.
Per Town Hall:
An explosion at a London subway station Friday injured at least 18 people, many with facial burns, in what police are calling a terror attack.
Photos from inside the station show a white bucket inside a shopping bag with flames and what seemed to be wires coming out.
Daily Mail reports the device used was an IED:
Police are today hunting for the ‘bucket bomber’ who tried to blow up a rush hour Tube train amid claims the terror suspect is armed with knives and may have left other devices.
The crude IED could have killed dozens but failed to properly detonate and sent a ‘wall of fire’ through the carriage injuring at least 22 people including a ten-year-old boy.
Terrified passengers were seen covered in blood with scorched hands, legs, faces and hair – others suffered crush injuries during a ‘human stampede’ as they ‘ran for their lives’ at Parsons Green station in west London at 8.20am.

Reportedly, the suspect is still on the loose:
Security sources have said the IED had a timer, indicating the bucket bomber left in on the train and fled before it exploded with police spotters watching back CCTV on the train and at Tube stations.
An officer at the scene told MailOnline: ‘We believe there is a second bomb – there is a man with knives on the loose.’
The London Mayor confirmed the attack, condemning those responsible.
He said, “The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the explosion on a train at Parsons Green Station this morning is being treated as terrorism.”
