Over the weekend, the Philadelphia 76ers helped an Army Sergeant Elliot Burgos surprise his girlfriend of 3 years, Angela, who’s a rookie dancer for the team, according to BizPacReview.
Burgos had just returned to the states after an 11-month tour in Kuwait.
Check it out:
The 29-year-old returned home to New Jersey last week but didn’t let his girlfriend know. The two just celebrated their three-year anniversary in September.
A video of troops sending messages to friends and family played on the screens in the Wells Fargo Center during the first quarter break at Saturday night’s game. Angela and the 76ers dancers were watching before taking the court when Burgos appeared on the screen, surprising his 23-year-old girlfriend.
Moments later, she was even more surprised when, after putting on a 76ers cap and getting flowers from the team’s mascot Franklin, Burgos appeared live at the game.
