DAILY DEVOTIONAL: Ready To Rock And Roll Your World?

Young man at sunset

Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.
Acts 16:26

On Good Friday 1964, a giant earthquake, registering 9.2 in magnitude, cracked Alaska, setting off tsunamis and landslides, collapsing streets and buildings, and killing 139 Alaskans. It was the largest quake in our history – and we have lots of quakes. Our state has smaller earthquakes so frequently that we barely bat an eye when rumbling begins. We just hang on.

Did you know God sent an earthquake because two guys were praising Him?

Paul and Silas were exalting God while shackled in prison, bruised and beaten, not knowing their fate. Their praise caused an earthquake, breaking everyone’s chains!

Praising the Lord shakes things up and sets us free. Decide with me today to lift our voices and glorify God. He’ll shake up not only our own lives, but this entire nation too – and set it right.

Sweet Freedom in Action
Today, focus on worshipping God simply because He is Lord, no matter your circumstances. Concentrate on sensing His presence. Anticipate Him rocking your world, loosing your chains, and setting you free.
