YES! Texas Gov Makes MAJOR Move That We’ve All Been Waiting For

Texas Governor Greg Abbott talks to the press at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in Austin following a bill signing that will cut Texas' franchise tax by 25%. Abbott has sponsored a series of bill signings around the state following the end of the 2015 legislative session.

All across the country, major cities have made the decision to ignore federal law and harbor criminal illegal aliens instead of reporting them to ICE for deportation.

The argument is that ignoring federal law builds trust in the community and encourages people to not be afraid of calling the police.

As you can imagine, many Americans aren’t buying it and the families of Americans who have been killed by illegal aliens are at the top of the list.

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott has finally had enough of these sanctuary cities and he’s doing something about it.

From Townhall via Associated Press:

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott blocked funding over so-called “sanctuary cities” for the first time Wednesday after Austin’s sheriff said the city’s jails would no longer honor most federal immigration detainers.

The move begins a crackdown Abbott wants in Texas over criminal suspects who are in the country illegally, which comes as he pushes to sign new laws that could go even further than President Donald Trump’s new executive actions against sanctuary policies.

Fantastic news for everyone who believes in the rule of law.

President Trump has made it clear that cracking down on these cities is a priority of his.  It will be interesting to see what that belief materializes into going forward.
