New Orleans fell victim to some nasty weather this week and several tornadoes touched down in the area.
As is often the case with natural disasters like this, many people found themselves stuck in precarious situations when these sudden storms hit.
That’s what happened to Amanda Stockfelt and her survival story is one for the ages.
Amanda Stockfelt had brought her 8-week-old daughter Autumn to work with her at an impound lot near NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility, she told WVUE Fox 8 News. They were working in a trailer when the tornado hit, and Stockfelt quickly buckled the baby into her car seat and held onto her as the wind struck.
Here’s some video of the brave mother.
Thank goodness Amanda and her daughter are safe and sound.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the people in the Louisiana area who were negatively affected by these storms.
