Milwaukee Co. Sheriff David Clarke isn’t shy when it comes to speaking out on behalf of conservatives.
He proved this once again when he blasted Senator Cory Booker for his testimony against Attorney General Appointee and Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions during his Cabinet hearings on Wednesday.
Specifically, Booker called into question Sessions’ commitment to civil rights causes—a character point he took no issue with when he previously praised Sessions after they teamed up to award the 1965 Voting Rights Marchers with a Congressional Gold medal.
Sheriff Clarke had this to say (via Fox Business):
“It was an embarrassment on the part of Senator Booker… Not too long ago, he was praising Senator Jeff Sessions.”
“What Cory Booker and the Democrats have turned these nomination hearings into is a burning at the stake… This is the kind of stuff that’s gone on for too long in Washington, DC. You see good people have their reputation and good character just destroyed with no foundation whatsoever, and it needs to stop.”
Amen, Sheriff Clarke.
While the Sheriff is a registered Democrat in Wisconsin, he tends to side with conservative values and is a frequent interviewee on Fox News. His voice of reason and wise perspective on these issues is much appreciated.
And as for Cory Booker, one might suggest he go back and consider his own past opinions before he chooses to testify against any other Trump appointees.
