And what are your go-to books for the enlightened argument? Share your recommendations, including movies. Remember politics (and everything else) is downstream from pop culture – let’s make it cool again to absorb Conservative classics and share the authors’ brilliance. Here are a few of mine:

    • Very important book, IMO. “To see through all things is the same as not to see.” Illustrates brilliantly that without God (that is, left to natural drives and devices only), Man cannot overcome Man’s nature, and ultimately Nature will overcome Man completely. That’s my takeaway at least.

  1. Sometimes when things are not going right and I feel down, I will reread The Face of Alzheimer’s as seen through the Heart of a Caregiver….it allows me to see how far a person can fall and turn from God but because of Faith and God’s Grace they can be lifted up and become whole again. I also have a devotional book someone gave me that 25 years ago and I have read it over and over because it offers such hope.
