A new performer has been added to the list of entertainers for Trump’s inauguration—’God Bless the USA’ singer, Lee Greenwood.
Greenwood will appear alongside Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, and other performers at the “Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration.”
Paul Anka, a self-designated “close friend” of Trump, was initially slotted to perform, but has since declined due to a custody battle over his son, Ethan.
From The Daily Mail:
Paul Anka has said he will not perform during the inaugural ceremonies for his ‘old friend’ President-elect Donald Trump.
Anka was one of a few musical artists who initially agreed to perform, but has said in a TMZ exclusive video that he now does not have the time.
He said that the President-elect is an old friend of his for 50 years, and that: ‘There was a dialogue to do it, My Way is his favorite song, but the back story of it is I’ve been in a custody battle for two years for my son Ethan, and we have a new schedule now and I’m unable to do it.’
However, the Presidential Inaugural Committee has announced ‘God Bless the USA’ singer Lee Greenwood, Toby Keith, and 3 Doors Down will be among the artists to perform at the ‘Make American Great Again! Welcome Celebration’.
Jon Voight, Richie McDonald of ‘Lonestar’, The Piano Guys, and Jennifer Holliday are among some of the other entertainers scheduled to perform at the event.
There will be two free-of-charge public inaugural celebrations hosted at the Lincoln Memorial on January 19.
‘The 58th Inaugural will celebrate American history and heritage, while setting the course to a brighter and bolder future for all Americans.
‘We will be one people working together, leading together, and making America great again, together.’
Sounds like it’s gonna be a pretty awesome show!
Who needs those Hollywood lefties, anyway?
