President Obama was in the 12th slot of a ranking of U.S. presidents that C-SPAN did recently—a pretty outrageous slot to find him in considering most of what he would’ve been remembered for is currently being undone by President Trump.
The former president ranked behind such notable GOP presidents as Dwight D. Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan.
George W. Bush was ranked 33rd on the list this year. While methodology did not necessarily take public approval into consideration, W.’s approval rating in the midst of his presidency peaked at 90 percent. Obama’s approval peaked at 62 percent as he exited office.
President Bush left the presidency with 54 percent approval.
C-SPAN conducts the same poll in the year following every presidential election, so results on President Trump’s supposed “success” will be revealed in 2021.
