Liberal Professor Goes TOO FAR, Says Trump Is A “Fascist Leader”

In less than thirty days since his inauguration, President Donald Trump has frequently been the victim of insults.

Although scrutiny is nothing new for presidents, a liberal professor at Northern Arizona University goes too far, says Trump is a “fascist leader” and even compares him to Hitler.

Per Campus Reform:

Politics and International Affairs Department Head Lori Poloni-Staudinger continually referred to the Trump administration as the “Trump regime”, at one point comparing the administration’s actions to the concentration camps of Nazi Germany, and later referencing the book The Origins of Totalitarianism in an attempt to draw out the correlation further.

Poloni later tried to further support her point:

“Someone should ponder on this now a lot today,” Poloni asserted, arguing that the Trump team relies on a “cocktail of fear, racist hate as an influence of normalization, [and] delegitimizing the press.”

Another member of the discussion panel weighed in to criticize the President:

Criminology professor Ray Michalowski later called Trump the “rapist in chief” of our country while discussing modern uses of the word fascism, after which he concluded that Trump may well be a “neo-fascist” and prospective totalitarian dictator.

  1. If Donald Trump were within that spectrum, he’d be the first small government example ever. All extant regimes categorized by the label are big government affairs.

  2. First, I don’t think fascism means what this professor thinks it does. The current expert in the field of fascism is Robert Paxton and here’s his definition (which is historically and currently accurate): “Fascism may be defined as a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a massed-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external explansion.” (Robert Paxton, op. cit., p. 218, and “Anatomy of Fascism” Alfred A. Knopf, 2004) “Democratic Radicalism” also plays into the LEFT which means: “to believe your cause is right to the point that you force it upon others whether they want/believe it or not, ensuring that their “choices” are precisely the same as yours so that you are not uncomfortable with the alternate views of others.” Taken together, I think these quite aptly define the LEFTISTS not the current administration and its supporters.

    • When the protests and protesters first began using the term fascist to describe Trump and those who supported him (me,) I went back and reread Mussolini’s defining work on what fascism is. He was, in fact, the original definer of that state of being. You are absolutely correct in your conclusions.

When the same protesters also simultaneously and interactively hurled accusations of nazism as descriptors of the same targets, you then must surmise they are all undereducated idiots that have no clue as to who fascists were/are and who nazis were/are.

Given all of the above, and observing the behavior of those mindlessly and mindfully following the lead of their liberal, progressive puppeteers, one can also draw the conclusion that these people are proving themselves to be classic psychological projectionists and have no idea that they themselves are what they define their opponents as. That they do so as they reside in the very heart of some of our most esteemed academes is totally disheartening and an anathema to open minded, non-indoctrinating, learning environment.

      • I’m doing lessons this week on the ORIGINS of many of our -isms and fascism is one of those. I’m using Mussolini’s work alongside more “modern” definitions. One on the top of google searches merely says “extreme right wing.” Don’t think Mussolini would agree……and I refuse to teach it that way. Last year when I taught this SAME lesson, the definition of fascism did NOT mention “right wing” anything. Just sayin’.

        • That is great! Glad to see that happen.

Here is the most troubling part of their attempted characterization of the right, but in actuality it is what they are proponents of as a solution to all issues, thus their act of projection:

From ‘Benito Mussolini: What is Fascism, 1932’

“…The Fascist State organizes the nation, but leaves a sufficient margin of liberty to the individual; the latter is deprived of all useless and possibly harmful freedom, but retains what is essential; the deciding power in this question cannot be the individual, but the State alone….”

    • Nothing says stamping out supposed fascism like rioting, burning down things, physical violence, and shouting down your opponent with vile obscenities. That’s how the Left thinks they should “combat” fascism. They are the fascists. Have been since the spoiled brats of the 60s marched, and they’ve birthed a few more generations of even worse brats. They took over the schools, infiltrated the media and entertainment, the government, and the judicial system, to ensure new generations of horrible successors now are indoctrinated, brainwashed, and coddled little foot soldier useful idiots.

Money from rich Marxists like Soros certainly helps, too. And now the ex-Activist in Chief, Obama.

  3. So much for being a professor. Fascism was the followers of Mussolini, NOT Hitler. This is the result of getting your education on the evening news.

  4. Further proof that liberalism is a mental disorder! 98% of University professors vote the Democrat/socialist, communist agenda. They will celebrate 100 years of Marxism on March 8th.

  5. John Dewey took over our education and installed communism in every school in the fifties, the NEA and Department of Education are run by devout Marxists, they hate Christianity, Judeism, all religions except Islam and Marxism. The State is the only thing we must worship! Read “None Dare Call It Treason” for the truth! Today David Horowitz explains in “The Agenda” what the radical left Marxists have done to our media, our churches, our universities, and Hollywood!

  6. Anyone who opposes Communism like Joseph McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan or Donald Trump is labeled a “fascist” by the radical left. It is their f…word when not spouting the f…word! End Federal funding to these Marxist run schools!

  7. part of the socialism method for changing our country has been to gain control of the education process and indoctrinate the youth to socialism and help to destroy the country. this has been going on since the 60s. we need to start reversing this or we may have other obamas in the making. for starters we should fire this woman based on lies, slander and inciting riots.

  8. I wouldn’t give this leftist scum the time of day. These type are teaching our kids, to riot, breaking into stores, robbing and looting, is freedom of speech. Talking to my old hs classmates, only takes 5 minutes for me to walk away. In 1971 a history teacher in college asked who believed in Jesus, I was the only one who admitted I did. He asked me how I could if I never seen him. I said faith. He tried his best to belittle me. He got a few laughs from the class, Tried to make it that the Bible was written by man. He got a little loud and angry when I told him he was right. Man did write the Bible, by the finger of God. I then asked him who had hit the most home runs in mlb? Babe Ruth came flying out of his mouth. I asked him if he ever seen Ruth, well no he said. I asked him how he knew it wasn’t a fairy tale and hundreds of books were written by man? I asked him which was the truth about Ruth. He couldn’t say as he didn’t know. I replied so it’s faith that you believe Ruth, was real? Up goes his blood pressure. So I asked him which book is the highest seller, his reply was what year? I said pick one. He wasn’t listening because he wanted me to stop talking and sit down. That wasn’t happening. I told him since he brought up the conversation we were going to finish it. I repeated what year was the book the highest seller? He finally admitted he didn’t know, saying there was many written. He wanted to dismiss the class and pick it up the next day. So I got in his face, about him thinking he was so smart. I repeated the question, and thought or hoped he’d blow a gaskit. He shouted he didn’t know. The class sat backdown! I said you don’t listen to your students, if they don’t agree with you. He had his left look of hate on. I looked him in his eyes and said the year the book was the highest seller has been every year, since man wrote it. It’s the Bible. I turned to the class and said you are dismissed, thanks for sticking around, but never deny knowing Jesus, or he’ll deny you in heaven. I recv’d a D, but deserved a B. the last class, I asked him if he knew Keith Oakley, he said yes he’s an administrator. I answered very good, he’s my cousin, I’m having lunch with him in about an hour. His face was as white as a KKK member. You couldn’t get the smile off my face with a jack hammer. I never did tell my cousin. I transferred to MSU and retook the class. Always have a Ace in your hand.

  9. People differ on the definition of fascism but in the end it’s simply the current insult that intellectually bankrupt liberals hurl at any Republican they disagree with. The term “racist” has lost it’s effect after decades of overuse.
