Pence Family Pays Respects At Former Concentration Camp With Incredibly Powerful Guide

Earlier today, Vice President Mike Pence, with his wife and daughter, paid their respects to the Dachau concentration camp.

This concentration camp was one of several which contributed to the millions who were killed during World War II.

He paid tribute to those who lost their lives at the camp in what was a touching moment.

Per Daily Mail:

Vice President Mike Pence paid a somber visit to the site of the Dachau concentration camp on Sunday, walking along the grounds where tens of thousands of people were killed during World War II.

Pence was joined by his wife, Karen Pence, and the couple’s 23-year-old daughter, Charlotte, as they toured the exhibits at the former concentration camp that was established by the Nazis in 1933 near Munich, Germany.

The Vice President was joined on his visit by a number of notables, one being Abba Naor.

Abba Naor, who is nearing 89 years old, is a survivor of the Dachau camp and he was able to share first account stories.

The United States has a unique historic tie to the camp as well:

More than 200,000 people from across Europe were held at Dachau, and more than 40,000 prisoners died there. Many of them were Jewish.

The camp was liberated by U.S. forces in April 1945.

This reverential visit serves as a reminder to never let our world become this divisive.
