President Donald Trump will not be attending the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.

Some news networks have also bowed out from attending the event (Per Axios):

Trump isn’t the only one passing on one of Washington’s biggest nights. Bloomberg, The New Yorker and Vanity Fair have all canceled their after-parties.

    • The “press” during the French monarchy was called the “courtesan press” — as in the courtesan ladies who traded ‘favors’ for money and power.

      The *fake* press were so adoring of and enamored to, chummy with, the “powers that be” that they were much to busy to seek the truth, they cast all semblance of objectivity aside in order to be make themselves beloved by the authorities, the “powers that be.”

      This is EXACTLY what has happened to all of the traditional mainstream press and broadcast media over the last few decades … but they did not cuddle up with whoever was in power, rather they became the “kept mistresses” (courtesans) to the liberal/progressive culture … all in order to be esteemed as “part of the insiders” by each other, by their peers in the media.

      During the French Revolution the rebels for independence from the monarchy treated these “courtesans” with the same disdain as was reserved for the King Louis and the royal family.

      Guillotines are not allowed today, but perhaps Trump’s disdain for today’s version of “a club of whores” in the media is exactly appropriate. The proliferation of the non-viewing public, those who have not been totally bewitched by the steady stream of absurdities emanating from the crumbling and rotting remains of “The Fourth Estate,” will effectively decapitate them through the pocketbook. No viewers = no money = no fashion-designer clothes and other “perks” enjoyed by the mainstream media for much too long.

  2. Out of necessity because we have a 2 party system, Trump has an *R* after his name. He is NOT, however, a republican and is most assuredly not a GOP elite/insider.
    For the left portion of the country, including the media/press, to think he’s going to act and do things as THEY expect/want is showing the ignorance on their part.

  3. I wouldn’t sit down to dinner with snakes, liars and traitors, so I see no reason for President Trump to do the same. No need for false cordiality.

    • I hear 20 years in Leavenworth is a breeze theae days. Treasonous acts are being traced right now. Who gets to be the first example is the question.

    • Zed, only Useful Idiots still believe the “Russian connection” or that Trump has anything to hide in his corporate tax returns. After being audited 18 straight years, with NOTHING found out of line with IRS code do you really believe anyone can find anything in his 2015 tax return that would be damaging? Maybe Trump should sic the IRS on you for the next 8 years for an annual rectal exam (tax audit). NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE gets audited 18 straight years unless the audits are politically motivated.
