There were plenty of notable moments from President Trump’s impressive speech last night.

The standing ovation for the widow of Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens deservedly received much of the attention but there was also a very touching moment involving the widow of the late Antonin Scalia.

At one point, the Supreme Court justices in attendance stood up and acknowledged Maureen Scalia.

It was an incredible display of respect that was appreciated by Scalia’s son.

Here is what he had to say about it.

A moment we will never forget.

RIP Justice Scalia.

    • Its unconscionable to me too! I don’t understand, but I know Obama and Killary have to have a lot to do with it either way! The Truth will prevail sooner or later.

    • Oh for Heaven’s sake: enough with the conspiracy theories already! Let the poor man’s earthly remains rest in peace & let’s put our energies into getting Judge Gorsuch confirmed; not to mention the battle for the next appointee(s) Pres. Trump has to make.

    • I’ve never seen anyone swept away so fast and buried …..its almost like they wanted to make sure it didn’t happen ?

    • In 1968 Thousands of people watched in horror as JFK was assassinated in broad daylight on TV. He was autopsied, but a man with a pillow over his face, lets NOT….

  1. Justice Scalia was a giant on the Court – and will be remembered for many years to come. Also, he set an amazingly high bar for ALL future Justices!!

  2. “Justices never clap, let alone stand, during speeches to joint session, but they did it for my Mom. Beautiful.”

I find myself coming back to this thread to read this post.

It’s a touching expression about a powerful and sweet moment in time.
