…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
love this promise from God! It brings such hope to a hurting nation. All God asks us to do is humble ourselves, acknowledge we need Him, pray, and turn from our wicked ways – and He will restore our land! We all have a part to play in making this happen, to turn our nation back to the very One upon whom it was founded. It’s been said, “Preach the Gospel, and if you have to – use words,” meaning we must be stronger salt and brighter light out there in the world by our actions. No more just preaching to the choir. Get out of your comfort zone and connect with a lost and dying people. Many are confused and simply looking for what is real, for Truth, for the only thing that can bring salvation. Show them a real relationship with God. Showing them is key. The old saying is true: actions speak louder than words.
Sweet Freedom in Action
Today, let’s not just try but let’s succeed in ending our arrogant ways that turn others away from God. Turn down the volume; don’t let our words get in the way of His real message.
