President Donald Trump sent a descriptive letter to Congress to reaffirm his decision to bomb a Syrian military airport.

In the letter, Trump says he “acted in the vital national security and foreign policy interests of the United States.”

He also praises Congress’ role: “I appreciate the support of the Congress in this action.”
