JUST IN: ISIS Uses WMD On US Backed Troops…

In the fight for control of the City of Mosul in Iraq between ISIS and Iraqi forces, ISIS has deployed mustard gas for the second time in as many days against the US and Australian backed Iraqi troops. Six solders suffered breathing problems and another 19 needed medical treatment. The Iraqi’s have distributed gas masks amongst the troops in case of future chemical weapons attacks.

An officer with the anti-terrorism unit said ISIS fired a missile full of chlorine at the al-Abar neighborhood in western Mosul. Although Iraqi troops are making significant headway in retaking the City of Mosul, there still remains the potential for disaster.

As the Daily Mail  reports:

But hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians are still trapped in the ISIS-held parts of the city which could turn into the worst humanitarian ‘catastrophe’ in the war against the militants, the United Nations warned on Tuesday.

‘If there is a siege and hundreds of thousands of people don’t have water and don´t have food, they will be at enormous risk,’ U.N. humanitarian coordinator for Iraq Lise Grande told Reuters in a telephone interview.

Chemical weapons like mustard gas in the hands of a terrorist organization like ISIS add another terrifying element to their arsenal. This could justify past and future attacks from US forces on chemical weapons depots in the Middle East to prevent WMD’s from falling into the wrong hands.
