Saturday, April 29th will officially mark President Trump’s 100th day in office – it’s also the night of the infamous White House Correspondents Dinner, a gathering of journalists that cover the White House and the President. President Trump announced in late February that he will not be attending the Correspondents Dinner, the first President in 36 years not to attend .

So what does the President plan on doing instead, from The Gateway Pundit:

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday he will be holding a “BIG rally’ in Pennsylvania next Saturday night, April 29–the same time as the annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner that Trump had previously announced he would not be attending. The date also marks Trump’s 100th day as president.

The rally will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the PA Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in the New Holland Arena in Harrisburg.

This sends a message to a media that has been largely hostile to President Trump during his campaign and his first 100 days in office. Many journalists that would normally attend the White House Correspondents dinner will have to cover the Trump rally, putting a damper on the otherwise star-studded event.
