President Donald Trump is receiving praise from Congress for his handling of aggression from North Korea.
Congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois is complimentary of Trump’s tactics, saying “this is not something we have seen in the last eight years.”
Per Bizpac Review:
“Now what you’re seeing is actually an aggressive administration, and you’re seeing the dance between military posturing and a credible military threat in order to use the diplomatic instrument of power to hopefully get to a peaceful solution,” the Republican congressman told Fox News host Martha MacCallum on the premiere of “The Story” Monday.
Kinzinger, an Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran, noted that, while people may be confused by what looks like contradictory behavior from the president, he is using both reward and punishment to induce cooperation from Kim Jong-un.
“That’s how this diplomacy works,” he said. “Its trying to use pressure to bring the dictator to the table and get rid of his nukes.”
