Unfortunately, a lot of the animosity and anger that some Americans feel toward Donald Trump has also been directed at his wife Melania.
Several designers and prominent fashion figures have refused to design clothes for Melania despite the fact the former supermodel has made very few public comments about specific political policies.
However, some of those designers might be regretting their decision when they hear about what happened when Melania wore a stunning Ralph Lauren outfit to her husband’s inauguration on Friday.
From The Daily Mail:
Supporting her husband as he was sworn in as president, Melania Trump looked a vision in a baby blue custom Ralph Lauren dress and coat.
And as she stood by Donald Trump‘s side as he took the oath of office in the Jackie Kennedy-inspired ensemble, the designer saw their company stock soar.
When Ralph Lauren shares closed on Thursday before the inauguration, they were at $88.20 a share in what has been a quiet month for the American firm.
However, by 11am yesterday, around an hour after Melania was first spotted wearing the designer’s outfit, stocks spiked at $88.32.
By the end of trading yesterday, they had levelled off again, but still finished up at $88.90 a share.

We saw the same thing happen to singers who agreed to perform at the inauguration. Several musicians declined to perform but Jackie Evancho’s album sales quadrupled when she announced she was willing to attend.
Maybe other designers will take notice and realize that dressing Melania Trump might not be the worst decision in the world.
