BizPacReview is reporting that an Albuquerque man just re-roofed his home to look like an American flag, and it’s awesome.
Rick Gabaldon’s father fought in World War II, so the homeowner wanted to honor him.
Check it out:
“From me and my family to all the veterans, thank you,” Gabaldon said.

Gabaldon said he’s been considering the tribute for two years or so, and that his roof has recently needed repairs.
Neighbors were apparently slow to get on board at first:
“The neighbors first kind of freaked out a little bit but once they understood where I was coming from, they understood,” Gabaldon said.

“We might not all agree on the politics and the way our country is run sometimes but we do live in a free country, be proud of that,” he added.
Next week he’ll add finishing touches—glow-in-the-dark stars on the blue tiles.
