Denzel Washington told the media what’s up when he blasted their coverage of his movie, “Fences” last month.
And the Academy Award winner is no stranger to fake news—a handful of headlines on some fabricated stories about his political leanings popped up last year.

“If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed. If you do read it, you’re misinformed, Washington began, adding, “Just say it, sell it. Anything you practice you’ll get good at — including BS.”
In our society, now it’s just first — who cares, get it out there. We don’t care who it hurts. We don’t care who we destroy. We don’t care if it’s true.
Fake news has been a major issue these past few months, as CNN has found itself in the spotlight on more than one occasion for reporting half-baked stories.
Buzzfeed came under similar scrutiny after releasing an unconfirmed dossier on President Trump earlier this month.
