Repealing and replacing Obamacare was one of the most prominent policy goals of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
President Trump has come out of the gate at a blistering pace when it comes to enacting his campaign promises and we have already seen a flurry of executive orders rolling back the various areas where President Obama overstepped his boundaries.
Now, Trump is making a major move to dial back Obamacare.
From The Daily Mail:
The Health and Human Services Department said in a statement that the government has pulled back about $5million in ads as part of an effort to cut costs.
The statement said HHS has already spent more than $60million to promote sign-ups this year under former President Barack Obama‘s healthcare law.
Former Obama officials immediately accused the new administration of ‘sabotage’.
Cost cutting. Something we rarely saw from the previous administration.
Obamacare’s days appear to be numbered and that’s great news for the millions of Americans who have been saddled with exploding premiums and costs.
