Report: Kim Jong-Un Revealed Exactly What He Wants From Trump, Liberals Will Hate It

Liberals who have repeatedly criticized President Trump’s strong language against North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-Un will probably not be happy to learn that the North Korean leader is now reportedly requesting a peace treaty.

According to reports, the dictator is also looking for the United States to set up an embassy in its capital.

That’s right, Trump’s strategy worked.

Per Daily Wire:

Kim Jong Un desperately wants to sign a peace treaty with President Trump after their one-on-one meeting, and he’ll also invite the United States to build an embassy in the hermit kingdom, South Korea media is reporting.

“Kim is likely to raise the possibility of a peace treaty, along with establishing diplomatic relations and nuclear disarmament, during a meeting with the U.S. leader, the Dong-A Ilbo newspaper said Monday,” Bloomberg News reported.

North Korea and the U.S. have been in a standoff for more than 60 years. The Korean War ended not with their surrender, but instead an “armistice,” which is nothing more than a truce. The U.S. has kept a large military force in South Korea ever since.

After just two years waging a war of words with the Trump administration, it looks like Jong-Un is ready to make a deal and give up his nuclear arsenal:

Meanwhile, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “promised dismantlement of his country’s nuclear weapons program — not merely a freeze — when he met with South Korean envoys last week in Pyongyang, multiple government sources told the JoongAng Ilbo on Sunday.”

“Kim expressed willingness for denuclearization, which includes not only a nuclear freeze but also dismantlement,” said one source familiar with the talks. “Now is the moment where we have to wait and see if the North will actually start the process of dismantling its nuclear program.”

Here’s more, from Fox News:

The regime wants a peace treaty to end the more than 60-year-old ceasefire between the two sides and to safeguard its sovereignty, Koh Yu-hwan, who teaches North Korean studies at Dongguk University in Seoul, told the outlet.

“There were agreements between the U.S. and North Korea to open up discussion on a peace treaty, but they never materialized,” Koh said. “The U.S. wants a peace treaty at the end of the denuclearization process, while for the North, it’s the precondition for its denuclearization.”

Daily Wire also reports Central Intelligence Agency director Mike Pompeo said the Trump administration’s hardliner approach will continue until North Korea concedes, “Make no mistake about it, while these negotiations are going on, there will be no concession made.”

“This should have been handled 30 years ago… Obama would not have done it, neither would Bush, neither would Clinton,” Trump said during a rally in Pennsylvania.

“Who knows what’s going to happen?” Trump added, per the report. “It could happen, it couldn’t happen. I may leave fast, or we may sit down and make the greatest deal for the world and for all of these countries, including, frankly, North Korea, and that’s what I hope happens.”

And, swiping Democrats, “A lot of people thought we were going to war. Now North Korea is saying they want to denuclearize. That’s what we do — we handle things.”
