‘How Dare You’: ICE Director Just Crushed Pelosi For Mocking Bravery Of Immigration Enforcement Agents

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi often says things which are widely laughed at by conservatives: she referred to $1,000 bonuses as “crumbs” and said her congressional colleagues had to pass Obamacare before they could see what was in the bill.

Unfortunately, her latest remark challenged the bravery and integrity of immigration enforcement agents across the United States, specifically those who are in the congresswoman’s home state of California.

Here’s more of her statement:

Just last week, President Trump decided to terrorize innocent immigrant families in the Bay Area with his unjust and cruel raids. The President has now desperately decided to brazenly abuse the legal system to push his mass deportation agenda.

The Trump Administration’s attacks on California are unacceptable in the federal system of government our Founders created. We have a system of checks and balances – not a system in which the executive branch can unilaterally bend states to its will. The federal government cannot force states and localities to participate in the cruel roundup of immigrant families, which spreads fear and thwarts cooperation with local law enforcement.

The people of California will not be bowed by the Trump Administration’s brazen aggression and intimidation tactics. Californians will continue to proudly keep our doors open to the immigrants who make America more American. We will fight this sham lawsuit and will fight all cowardly attacks on our immigrant communities.

Fox News Insider reports Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan had a strong response for the Democrat Leader.

“First of all, these are law enforcement officers,” Homan said. “These are men and women that put their lives on the line for this country every day. They strap a gun to their hip and leave the safety and security of their homes to defend this nation. So how dare you call them cowardly.”

From the report:

Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan had some strong words Tuesday for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who accused the Trump administration and ICE agents of carrying out “cowardly attacks” on illegal immigrants.

He pointed out that the criminal illegal immigrants ICE targeted in recent raids were the ones who were actually terrorizing immigrant communities, as they are charged with serious offenses such as assault and murder.

“ICE went in there and removed these people from the community. So that’s far from terrorizing. We’re protecting people, we’re protecting the American public,” Homan said.

Here’s more, from BizPac Review:

Last month, Pelosi slammed an ICE operation in California as a “bigoted” attempt to “terrorize innocent immigrant families.” Homan on Monday told reporters the California Democrat’s comments were “beyond the pale.”

Pelosi has repeatedly attacked President Trump and the efforts by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, slamming a four-day California ICE operation as “unjust and cruel.” The Justice Department filed a lawsuit against California which prompted a statement from Pelosi.
