The First Lady has experienced an onslaught from those on the Left. Just a few day ago, Trump was criticized for her accent and for her encouragement to children to “be best” – an initiative launched by the first lady to teach children healthier lifestyle choices.
Despite near constant negative coverage from mainstream media, First Lady Melania Trump is connecting with real Americans and is finding out that they are welcoming her with open arms.
The Left can’t stand her. But how does a White House room full of military mothers and their spouses feel about Melania? They love her.
Check it out, via Breitbart:
President Donald Trump and Melania Trump hosted a White House event to honor military mothers and spouses, who were were eager to show their appreciation for their commander-in-chief and the first lady.
“She’s become a very, very popular first lady!” Trump said as he introduced his wife to the group of over 300 military mothers and spouses.
In response, the group let out cheers and whoops of praise.
“I’m seeing all those stories, and they love Melania,” Trump said.
The first lady praised the mothers in the room for their dedication to their country, their families, and their spouses.
“Mother’s Day, which is this Sunday, is celebrated just one time per year,” Melania said, opening the event.
“I don’t know about all of you, but I think mothers should be celebrated each and every day!” she added, which was met by a cheer from the crowd. “As a mother myself, I know what goes into raising a child. It takes an incredible amount of strength, a lot of time, a generous amount of patience, and all of your love.”
“As moms, we are so incredibly privileged to bring children into this world and in helping them grow into adults. Children bring us an endless amount of both: joy and fear. They fill us with pride through their dreams and they love us in a manner only other mothers can understand.”
“Because of the powerful bond between a mother and her child, when they feel emotions, so do we,” the first lady added. “Whether they are happy or nervous, sad or excited, we feel those things with them. I think this is one of the most powerful and beautiful parts of motherhood.”
She then thanked those in attendance and military service members, their mothers and their spouses for the sacrifices they make on behalf of the country. She also thanked Karen Pence, Kellyanne Conway and Ivanka Trump for the work they contributed towards the executive order President Trump would later sign.

According to the report, President Trump also received applause after reminding the group that he signed into law a tremendous military pay raise in the most recent budget agreement.
“Your love, resilience, and courage uplifts our heroes and, indeed, our nation,” Trump said to the group. “We are forever in your debt.”
Here’s more on the initiative, per Fox Business:
“Today, we take one of many important actions to ensure that you are free to pursue your careers, support your families and continue serving this nation that we all love so much,” Trump said during a speech honoring military mothers and spouses at the White House.
By taking on this jobs initiative, the Trump administration intends on making licensing portable state-to-state for jobs that require it and military families that move a lot.
“Spouses who work in careers such as teaching, nursing and law…can get a job in their profession no matter where they move and will take executive action to promote military spouse hiring, people wanted presidents to do for a long time,” the president said.
