Gov. Palin Endorses U.S. Senate Candidate And Political Outsider Tony Monetti

The Republican Party is launching an extensive effort in Missouri to flip the seat of Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill. As Missouri went to President Trump in the 2016 presidential election, several Republicans launched campaigns to take the seemingly vulnerable Democrat seat.

Among those Republican candidates, Gov. Sarah Palin is endorsing Tony Monetti to help lead Missouri and the country. In her endorsement, Palin said that Monetti is a “red-blooded American hero” who is willing to fight to defend the U.S. Constitution as it is written, including peoples’ God-given rights.

“Tony Monetti is a red-blooded American hero who stands up for American values,” Palin said in a statement. “I couldn’t be prouder to support this deserving candidate who’ll defend our Constitution and fight for our God-given rights in Congress, just as he fought in two wars as a combat pilot. He’s the man for Missouri; he’s a man for America’s future!”

A formal endorsement will take place when Palin visits the area during the “Pre-Primary Election Bash” in Kansas City, Missouri on June 27th. According to the Monetti campaign website, the event will be held at Kansas City LIVE! within one of the Midwest’s largest developmental areas, Kansas City Power & Light District.

“During this public bash the Monetti camp plans to build massive momentum to win the upcoming primary election while showing the country that Missouri does not want another career ladder climbing politician in office!” the event announcement continued.

Gov. Palin said she is excited to revisit Missouri and help the retired lieutenant colonel and political outsider secure the senatorial win.

Palin continued, “I’m so excited to return to the great State of Missouri and lend my support for Lt. Col. Monetti for U.S. Senate.”

The Monetti campaign proudly accepted Gov. Palin’s endorsement and said he is unlike “career politician” and fellow Republican candidate Josh Hawley.

“The citizens of Missouri are sick and tired of the career politician looking to simply climb the political ladder, like Josh Hawley,” the Monetti campaign said.

“They are telling us they want someone who is in this for the right reasons, who is unafraid to battle the elites in DC to fight for the people of Missouri. The massive crowd at our event will show you how many Missourians support what I’m saying.”

Here’s more on Monetti and the event, per his campaign website:

Lt. Col. Tony Monetti seeks religious freedoms under the First Amendment, the defense of the Second Amendment, lower taxes to foster economic growth, and supports many other Conservative policies to Make America Great Again. Monetti’s background of decorated military service, along with his relevant business and education experience makes him the best candidate to represent Missourians in the US Senate.

On Wednesday evening, President Trump ripped McCaskill in a tweet and tipped his hat in favor of endorsing Hawley. He was, however, met with quick criticisms by Monetti and others who identified as Missouri natives.

“Senator Claire McCaskill of the GREAT State of Missouri flew around in a luxurious private jet during her RV tour of the state,” Trump said. “RV’s are not for her. People are really upset, so phony! Josh Hawley should win big, and has my full endorsement.”

Monetti responded, “Sorry to correct you in public Mr. President, but I will be the next US Senator from Missouri @realDonaldTrump. I will defeat Young Josh. I will defeat Chameleon Claire. We will then work together to #MAGA.”
