Owner Recognizes Sarah Sanders In His Restaurant, Immediately Does The Unthinkable

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said she was denied service at a restaurant because of her connection to President Trump. As she said on social media, she was told she would not be served at the restaurant in Lexington, Virginia because of her service to the administration.

According to Sanders’ account, she then peacefully got up and left the establishment without further incident.

“Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for [President Trump] and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me,” the press secretary recalled. “I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”

“Bigotry,” responded her father, Mike Huckabee.

“On the menu at Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington VA. Or you can ask for the ‘Hate Plate.’ And appetizers are ‘small plates for small minds,'” the former Governor added.

As Daily Mail reports, a waiter from the restaurant confirmed the press secretary’s account:

Jaike Foley-Schultz, a server at the Red Hen in Lexington, said the White House Press Secretary lasted just two minutes in the restaurant until his boss asked her to leave.

‘I just served Sarah Huckabee Sanders for a total of 2 minutes before my owner kicked her out along with 7 of her other family members,’ he posted on Facebook.

And:

The post went viral after Brennan Gilmore, the director of nonprofit green group Clean Virginia, shared it on Twitter along with a handwritten note supposedly from the restaurant that read: ’86 — Sara Huckabee Sanders’.

Gilmore wrote: ‘@PressSecretary got kicked out of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Va tonight. Apparently the owner didn’t want to serve her and her party out of moral conviction.’

’86’ is restaurant industry slang meaning ‘throw out’.

As Slate reports, people quickly bombarded user reviews for the restaurant on social media and user recommendation pages like Yelp:

The online report immediately led to an online reviewing battle in the restaurant’s Facebook and Yelp pages. While some gave the restaurant one star for refusing to serve the White House press secretary, many others rated it five stars and congratulated management for taking a moral stand.

“Sarah Sanders is now the latest Trump administration official to be heckled or forced out of a restaurant because of their work,” tweeted the Daily Caller’s Saagar Enjeti.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristjen Neilsen was confronted earlier in the week by protestors when she was eating at a Washington D.C. restaurant.
