Former FBI Director James Comey is no stranger to the media and has surely said some eye-rolling statements before, but the warning he said to voters on Tuesday night is one conservatives would be dissatisfied to see. In a tweet, he said “history has its eyes on us” and encouraged them to participate in the November congressional elections.
Once known for leading the nation’s top law enforcement agency, Comey is now picking up the mantle of Democrat talking piece and is calling for “all who believe in this country’s values” to “vote for Democrats.”
“This Republican Congress has proven incapable of fulfilling the Founders’ design that ‘Ambition must… counteract ambition,’ Comey tweeted. “All who believe in this country’s values must vote for Democrats this fall. Policy differences don’t matter right now. History has its eyes on us.”

During his tenure in office, Comey drummed up enemies on both sides of the aisle with his (mis)handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation. He found that she was grossly negligible in storing and disseminating classified information but refused to pass a criminal conviction. Those on the Left say the investigation cost Clinton the presidency, while those on the Right are curious (perhaps even concerned) why someone who broke the law got to walk free.
Comey’s new paradigm of political activism followed a pattern of anti-Trump sentiments. Here’s more, from Fox News:
The move to endorse Democrats comes after the controversial summit in Helsinki, Finland on Monday between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump drew the fury from both the left and right for not unequivocally siding with the American intelligence community on whether Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.
He said that though he has great confidence in the U.S. intelligence community, the Russian president gave a “strong and powerful” denial. He added that he doesn’t “see any reason why” Russia would be behind election meddling and suggested both Russian and the U.S. are to blame for strained relations.
He said he meant to say he doesn’t see why Russia “wouldn’t” be responsible for interference. “I said the word ‘would’ instead of ‘wouldn’t’ … sort of a double negative,” he insisted.
“I accept our intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election took place,” he added, but noted that “It could be other people also.”
Another tweet Comey posted directly addressed the slip-up.
This was the day an American president stood on foreign soil next to a murderous lying thug and refused to back his own country. Patriots need to stand up and reject the behavior of this president.

Here’s how some people responded to the former FBI director:
You’re a disgrace to America and you and FBI are the real meddlers. Obama deported 3.5 million illegals, sided with Russia in many of his speaches, Hillary sells our country through her corrupt foundation, she deletes, bleaches and smashes her servers and you did nothing.

I am thankful and admire your service & patriotism. I’ve also read your book.
But I will never forgive you for your press conference about Hillary’s emails 11 days before the election when you basically handed the election to Trump. You were careless, reckless & naive.

James Comey, your Tweets are sounding more & more like Peter Strzok’s text messages. No wonder you made him your #2 man at the FBI.

Just like w Russian election interference, not one Republican vote will be changed by this blowhards opinion.

The only reason why you’re saying what you’re saying right now is because you are afraid that if there’s an investigation they will find out fraudulent activity you did to protect Hillary Clinton

Wasn’t that long ago when a guy under investigation would be accused of obstruction of justice for making statements like this. https://t.co/0Mrv2BlCvr

Note: The author of this article has included commentary that expresses an opinion and analysis of the facts.
So if we vote Republican, we don’t care about this country’s values?
James Comey questions our patriotism unless we support The Party.
This hack was in charge of the FBI for years. Now THAT is scary. https://t.co/GtraKQnWgQ
