Eye Roller: Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer To Host ‘Resistance’ Rally Outside Of Trump Event

Lawyer Michael Avenatti has seemingly waged an all-out war on President Trump and this feud may not have an end until 2020.

The lawyer is the legal representation for Stormy Daniels and has previously announced he is considering running in the next presidential election. In the meantime, Avenatti is trailing the president and will be hosting a “resistance” rally outside of a Trump event next month.

President Trump announced his planned event in Texas to support Senator Ted Cruz over social media. Details concerning the rally’s location and time have not yet been reported.

“I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October,” the president tweeted. “I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement. His opponent is a disaster for Texas – weak on Second Amendment, Crime, Borders, Military, and Vets!”

Dallas News reports the largest stadium in Texas holds more than 180,000 people – huge!

Where Trump goes, Avenatti follows…

“I am excited to announce that I will be leading a large resistance rally in Texas at the exact same time of Trump’s (details tba),” Avenatti said in a tweet. “All groups are welcome to join. We must fight fire with fire and we must send a message that we will fight to make America America again.”

Trump and Cruz have had a rocky relationship to say the least as the two previously clashed for the 2016 Republican primary. During the campaign and in presidential debates, Trump said Cruz was a “lair” and donned him the name “Lyin’ Ted.”

Here’s more from Dallas News:

The president has made his support for Cruz’s reelection plain for months. But this was the first time he has attacked the challenger as he comes to the aide of an erstwhile rival who called the future president a “pathological liar” and worse at the height of the 2016 contest.

They’ve become close allies since Trump’s election. Cruz has wrapped himself in the president’s tax and immigration policies and lauded him for stocking federal courts with conservatives.

The high-level reinforcement reflects the precarious circumstances facing Cruz, Trump and Republicans in Texas and nationally. Texas hasn’t elected a Democrat statewide since 1994, but O’Rourke has given the GOP reason for concern.
