After GOP Fails To Defund Planned Parenthood, They Announce MASSIVE Campaign To Unseat Republicans

It looks like the decision of congressional Republicans not to defund Planned Parenthood is coming back to haunt them in a big way.

By continuing the influx of federal funding to Planned Parenthood, congressional Republicans not only allowed the group to continue killing unborn children across the United States but now Planned Parenthood has announced a massive campaign ground game network to unseat Republicans.

The abortion giant is planning to spend $20 million according to a report from the Washington Examiner:

The women’s health and abortion provider group’s PAC, called Planned Parenthood Votes, said that the campaign would be the largest ground game effort ever for a midterm. It will target states that include Arizona, Minnesota, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

The campaign was launched as confirmation hearings for Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh continue in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Abortion rights groups charge that Kavanaugh would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark ruling that made abortion a constitutional right, if he gets on the high court.

Many people online asked how much of the money comes directly out of the pockets of taxpayers.

As the Heritage Foundation reported earlier this year, Planned Parenthood received an astronomical $1.5 billion from taxpayers between 2013 and 2015.

Here’s more:

The organization’s 2015-2016 report revealed that Planned Parenthood served 100,000 fewer women in 2015-2016 compared to 2014-2015. Their number of health centers and affiliates declined, and they performed fewer cancer screenings and prevention services.

They also performed fewer breast examinations, fewer HPV vaccinations, and provided prenatal services to 8,000 fewer women than the previous year.

But the abortion giant did perform several thousand more abortions than the year prior: 328,348 compared to the previous year’s 323,999. Moreover, Planned Parenthood performed 83 abortions for every one adoption referral.

NPR similarly reports that Planned Parenthood receives about $500 million a year in government funding:

That totals more than 40 percent of Planned Parenthood’s total $1.3 billion in revenue for the year, which suggests that the organization would be in some heavy financial trouble without that public funding.

Republicans are in complete control of Congress and the White House but have failed to defund Planned Parenthood. In return, the group is funding the demise of these same Republicans.
