Would He Really? Trump Promises To Set The Record Straight: ‘I’ll Write The Real Book’

Earlier this year, American author Michael Wolff published a book which was vehemently anti-Trump. The book alleged certain people in the administration were working against President Trump.

Then came an account from former administration official Omarosa who published a book which offered negative perceptions of President Trump and the administration.

Then American journalist Bob Woodward published a similarly condemning book.

Most recently, another anti-Trump article published anonymously in an op-ed.

All these accounts have been widely discredited as fictitious accounts and, as the Washington Examiner reports, many of the quotes included were denied by the people who allegedly said them:

Woodward’s upcoming book, “Fear: Trump in the White House,” is set to be released Tuesday, but several excerpts have already been shared from those who received advanced copies.

Last week, White House chief of staff John Kelly, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, and Trump all claimed they had not said what Woodward quoted them as saying in his book.

In a tweet on Monday morning, President Trump said he would one day set the record straight on all these accounts (and others) coming out of the White House.

“The Woodward book is a Joke – just another assault against me, in a barrage of assaults, using now disproven unnamed and anonymous sources. Many have already come forward to say the quotes by them, like the book, are fiction. Dems can’t stand losing,” Trump said. “I’ll write the real book!”

Trump addressed the book in a number of other tweets Monday morning and over the weekend.

“The Woodward book is a scam,” Trump initially said after the book’s release. “I don’t talk the way I am quoted. If I did I would not have been elected President. These quotes were made up. The author uses every trick in the book to demean and belittle. I wish the people could see the real facts – and our country is doing GREAT!”
