Maxine Waters: I Threaten Trump Supporters ‘All The Time’

Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters is hell-bent on having President Trump impeached. She has repeatedly called for his impeachment and has been repeatedly refused by Republican lawmakers who hold majorities in both legislative chambers.

During an award acceptance speech in Los Angeles with the Stonewall Young Democrats, Waters again echoed calls to have the president impeached. She said her and her supporters will continue to protest against the administration. She failed to note that the Trump administration is bringing his historic low unemployment rates, a booming stock market, a robust economy, and a glowing gross domestic product.

“There are those who said we lacked civility when I got up and talked about the President’s Cabinet, and I said if you see them anywhere, if you see them at a restaurant, if you see them in a department store, even at a gasoline station, just tell them you’re not welcome here or anywhere,” she said to her audience. The comments were met with cheers, as the American Mirror reports.

Waters’ efforts against the president have so far fallen flat, so it looks like she found her next best thing: his supporters.

“And so, it frightened a lot of people, and of course the lying president said that I had threatened all of his constituents,” Waters continued.

“I did not threaten his constituents, his supporters. I do that all the time, but I didn’t do it that time.”

Waters then admitted to having a warped obsession with Trump, so much so that she loses sleep over it: “When I compare what you’re doing with what we have in Washington, D.C., in the highest office in the land, I wake up in the middle of the night and all I can think about is I’m gonna get him.”

Her comments about Trump and his supporters came after she rejected an apology from fellow California Democrat, Senator Diane Feinstein. During the Senate Judiciary Committee’s confirmation hearing of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Feinstein — who is the highest-ranking Democrat on the committee — apologized to the nominee for outbursts, interruptions, and other political games her Democrat colleagues have played during the hearings.

From Real Clear Politics:

[Waters] said she was upset by California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein apologizing to Brett Kavanaugh for the disrespectful protests which interrupted his confirmation hearings, saying: “We don’t ask permission to protest. We protest.”

The crowd seemed to love everything she was saying, cheering and clapping frequently.

“When we understand that we have to make America hear us and see us, and understand that we all have something to say,” Waters said, recalling the time she told supporters to confront Republicans in department stores, gas stations, and restaurants.
