Ocasio-Cortez Slips Again: Does She Think She Is Running For The Presidency?

Democrat socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a rookie in the political game and, in just a short time, has learned it can be very harsh.

During her first at-bat, Ocasio-Cortez was struck out by the Washington Post by a count of 5 lies to zero truths.

Then, the next time she stepped up to the plate, CNN’s Jake Tapper sent her back to the dugout when he called her out on a crazed idea that the U.S. government can find more than $40 trillion to cover her socialist agenda. She also said spending the $40 trillion would save U.S. taxpayers money… Ouch.

As the Daily Wire reports, her latest blunder was a real doozy.

During a campaign event in New York, Ocasio-Cortez admitted she thought she was running for a position where she gets inaugurated and signs bills into law… like the presidency?

From the report:

Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed her extreme lack of knowledge about the basic roles of the three branches of the federal government during a speech on Monday, suggesting that after she is “inaugurated” into office that she will begin signing bills into law.

Ocasio-Cortez said: “After being spurned over, and over, and over again, short-changed on healthcare, short-changed on criminal justice, short-changed on education, there’s a lot of folks who don’t want to believe anymore [in the political process]. And that’s why what we have accomplished is such an immense responsibility. It is a responsibility.”

Looks good so far, but a steady swing at the wrong time is still called a strike.

“It doesn’t mean you get everything tomorrow,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “As much as I would love that. I would love to get inaugurated January 3rd [and on] January 4th we’re signing healthcare, we’re signing this…”

1…2…3… and she’s out.

From the Daily Wire:

Ocasio-Cortez seemed to be completely unaware of the fact that members of Congress are sworn into office, not inaugurated like the President of the United States.

Ocasio-Cortez also showed that she does not understand that Congress does not sign bills into law, which is the president’s job.

Watch her comments for yourself below:

While Ocasio-Cortez showed enough spark to win a primary over senior Democrat Congressman Joe Crowley and won a second, surprise primary election in New York’s 15th district, her ascension to professional politics is a slow one. Some people online were quick to call her out on the blunder:
